Project Overview

Once a basketball gymnasium, this space was transformed into the central meditation and meeting hall for the Buddha Gate Monastery in Lafayette, CA. The building was reimagined and carefully upgraded to reflect the principles of Buddhism—simplicity, modesty, and a deep connection to nature. This minimalist remodel creates a serene and elegant backdrop for the daily life of the monastery while serving as a welcoming focal point for the local Buddhist community.
